Problem: 3d Mesh frame is visible in game

Recommended Posts

I have just recently updated my SF2 install on my Win XP computer and I'm getting the problem below.

As you can see from the screenshot, the 3d mesh frame is visible on some areas of the aircraft model (intake, gear doors etc.)

The game is SF2I merged with SF2E and SF2V and patched with the Dec 09 SF2I (merged) patch. Here are the computer details:

Processor type and speed : Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 2.66GHz

Operating System version : Windows XP Pro SP3 32 Bit

Memory (RAM) : 2GB RAM

DirectX Version : 9.0 (with Aug 09 updates)

Video Card type : NVidia GeForce 8800 Ultra using forceware version 196.21

I have tried using the ForceDX9=TRUE and disabling the advanced shaders. The problem is evident on all graphics detail settings.

Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem with Dels ( my specs are almost identical to his also).

I have a merged install purchased on line, a week ago, so it was prepatched already.

I thought at first that it got to be the card drivers so I updated to 196.21...

The problem remains though...

I tried Old Diego's solution no good also... :dntknw:

I also see sometimes the same thing on terrain tiles, sea included.

I have no such problem on my new laptop whatsoever...

Did you guys post this @ the TW forums. This is more of an engine issue that one here can actually solve.

I've been getting the same thing on ground textures due to having an SF1 terrain in my SF2

build to fly the cool new-ish Israel 2012 campaign.

I reckon my solution would be to get SF2:I, but have over-extended my discretionary fund with

the "dictator of the dollars" (Wife), so have to make do...

Look at THIS link for the mesh fix. Its important that you make your changes in the Nvidia Control Panel to override any Thirdwire application.

I got rid of it by upping the Anti-Aliasing to 16X...your mileage may vary.

Thanks. This fixed it for me also.

Anti-Aliasing 8x, in NVidia settings with Override any Application set to on, works fine also.
