I have no words...so sad news!!! Olham, with his lively posts at the old Combat Ace Forum was the reason I was involved in OFF immersive world in the first place. We shared a common passion for the Albatros and worked together in many projects along with JFM back then. He was a gentleman in every aspect. We hadn't spoken for the last decade or so, as I was withdrawn from active simming and modding myself. My condolences to his actual family as well as his virtual family, here. Blue skies my friend! Olham's Sanke card, like we did back then, in the after action reports, whenever a virtual pilot got lost.

Check out the other side of the coin... a Johannisthal machine, with replacement wheels (check the hatches) and a lower wing (check the cross underside) from an OAW machine... Lt. Josef Raesch of Jasta 43 P.S. not so sure about the wing though, it's the overpainted balken that's kind of misleading, the OAW cross should be further outwards....

Why this thread faded away? I was searching for Albatros lozenge taping and stumbled upon this old thread... I have to add (if anyone is still interested) that the taping of the lower wing of the D.5a OAW above seems to be replacement from a Johannisthal plane also.
