I'm nearly 100% positive that Lucas used both of those movies as inspiration for the Death Star trench scene.

 

Hopefully Peter Jackson is still on track to make the Dambusters movie and I'd love to see an updated 633 Sqn, although finding flyable Mossies would be a real task.

Storm I have my weekend planned Cruel Sea Dambusters 633 Squadron followed by Mosquito Squadron Battle of Britain with the finale being The Longest Day... yup I am single...

I remember the first time I saw Ep IV, the FIRST thing I thought of was "hey, that's just like the fjord run in 633!!"
