+Spectre_USA Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 I have yet to install the Feb 10 patch with it's capability to save a mission at debrief. I want to finish a campaign I started first, and haven't had the time to do so yet, but hope to on the weekend. Had anyone else? Are they text editable? You know, like swapping a flight type, or opposition flights, etc... Quote
+FastCargo Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 I haven't had a chance yet...but I would imagine it's like any other mission...all text. Just my thinkin...could be totally smokin crack... FC Quote

+kreelin Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 (edited) Err... Hey Spectre, are you talking about Campaign or Mission file ? AFAIK the "save" button at debrief "saves" only the mission you've flown. And the saved mission is editable of course... How ? Quite easy. 1- Launch the game 2- Select a type of mission (lets say STRIKE) and choose your plane 3- Start the mission and abort it ASAP. 4- Save the mission on debrief screen 5- ALT + TAB and open my editor 6- Modify the flight path if needed (be aware not to modify it too much because of time synchro with other flights) 7- Analyze the objective area (AAA, SAMsites, etc). its useful to choose weapons. 8- Save the mission and close the editor 9- Go back into the game, select the saved mission and rock & roll Edited February 18, 2010 by kreelin Quote
+Gr.Viper Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Save button saves the generated mission file so that later you can go to Single Mission->Load Mission and fly it again. It's the standard msn text file, which gets dumped to Missions in user's folder Quote
Lexx_Luthor Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Very interesting. I'm staying SF-1 but, this sounds like a way to refuel/rearm on the ground, assuming you land safely. Edit another AI flight, or paste a flight in, taking off from same field, to Player, and set that flight to start at game run. Maybe even reduce the number of flight elements to match losses you noticed. May work best for long single missions only I'd guess. If it works at all. Would this be Correct Thinking? Quote
+DWCAce Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 I've installed the patch, but haven't seen the button yet, unless i'm looking in the wrong area. Might someone be able to post a screen shot? Quote
+Gr.Viper Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 After you finish a mission look for Save button at the bottom of the central frame of the debrief. Quote
+DWCAce Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 Found it. Apparently the patch was installed to the wrong folder, doh! Quote
