Charlie Posted June 23, 2004 Posted June 23, 2004 Follow the link to a review I did on the TrackIR3 Pro about a month ago. The first part is a little background on the TrackIR system and how it works. The second part is a comparison between the TrackIR2 and TrackIR3. I hope you find it interesting. http://www.virtualflightproductions.com/re...ckir3review.htm Quote
+pcpilot Posted June 23, 2004 Posted June 23, 2004 Im leaning more and more to getting a TIR. Your review helps a lot in letting me know what to expect. I was wondering also what the differences were between the different TIR's and you gave me a very good clue. Thanks. Im curious in hearing from TIR users just were they wear the reflective dot. Seems silly to put it on my forehead and I dont use a mic but very seldom. Any other good ideas out there? Quote
Beer Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 I wear the hat that came with it, just a ball cap, reflecter is built into the bill. Cheers Beer Quote
GhostDog Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 i dont think many regret buying a trickIr. I love mine. I have made my own cap by just sticking one of the reflective dots that came with the unit on an old cap. Works perfect. Quote
Cudaguy Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 While I'm not sold on the fact that I need to upgrade my TIR1 to any "pro" level...lol...typical marketing stuff there, lol. I use an old pair of sunglasses with the lenses removed. I placed a large "dot" on the bridge using about 9 dots. Quote
Charlie Posted June 28, 2004 Author Posted June 28, 2004 There is a huge difference between the TIR1 and the TIR3. However, if it aint broke, dont fix it. If you are running strong with that and like it, then stick with it. ;) Quote
Scout_51 Posted September 6, 2004 Posted September 6, 2004 I use an old pair of sunglasses with the lenses removed not a bad way doing it..I have a set of glasses that the rx on it is optimized for the computer those do have two dots, works good.. Quote
