We know about the existence of the L-39, but it`s an old model so Montys stuff is always welcomed

Víkend se špatným počasím skončil ale stihl jsem kompletní 3D model:

teď už jen namapovat, dodělat hierarchii a animace, otexturovat a naučit lítat, pohoda :-)

To je ta 39, premislel sy ot te 159, sem nasel par fotek, ale nic moc. je to jenom otaska

Ahoj přemýšlel, ale historicky zajímavější je pro mě L-39

L-159 je spíš "what if" což je škoda, ale třeba přemodeluju

čumák :-)

Hello Soulfreak,

as I hope, my new notebook will arive next week (ACER Aspire 5745G-434G64MN)

then I will have capacity to use full resolution again :-)

so it might increase my interests in high res skins.

My models usualy uses one file for fuselage and 2 for wings and stabs.

This standard I prefer. then resolution might be 2048 (my original files)

or 1024 (usualy use this resolution because I like the effect when reducing size

from 2048 to 1024 and then aplly sharpen filter)

 

Maybe I should finish that L-410 first, but my ini kung-fu is weak last days :-(

Have you contacted JAT for ini help? he is good in tweaking stuff, I have already send him your 410 for FM developing, not sure about the status. Will point him to this topic

Oh than it was my misstake, sorry, I in frequent contact with him, we exchange our projects and he helped me with some stuff. Maybe he has some free time to help you out with the L-39 and 410.

Well, you can say in the lod(s) I think,

that the fileformat is DDS, but how exactly I don´t know.

Advantage of DDS files is, the files use not as much space as a bitmap, & the

performance in game is much better.

Should i ask Erikgen? He used dds on his G-91Y....

EDIT:

the way to use dds textures is simple ... in 3ds you have assign to a material a dds texture instead of a bmp ... or you can do all stuff with the traditional bmp and change the assign dds texture to all the materials used before the export procedure

About the hind...well the one available is a mess and the skin doesn't fit the whole model,expecially in the gun mount and guidance pods

The current Hind is worthless, one of the ugliest things exist for SF series

 

But this L-39 is realy great, I hoped that Monty will do this bird and now it`s coming!

Oh I almost forgot about CS-199 - it is doing well in my game and sitting on my HDD :-)

Last time I was tweaking gear to make landings even harder - you are supposed to train something, right? :-)

ok I will release CS-199 ASAP

 

I planned L-39C (boring trainer) and L-39ZA (light attack plane)

I dont know how much is the L-59 different from outside

 

But on sunday my vacation will start and I will be 3 weeks in slovenia and italy

So it wont be in usual two weeks :-)

So far the 159 wasn`t that much different fromt the 39, if you like I can investigate it and collecting some material, so when you are back from your vacation I could send it over.

 

And yes, I like 2 seater! how have you noticed it

Here I have some different Versions:

 

L-39V (Targeting)

 

L-39C (Trainer)

 

L-39ZO (light attack without gun)

 

L-39ZA (light attack with gun)

The only visual difference I have noticed so far is the nose. The 159 has a more round nose than the 39.
