We should spread the practice to avoid incidents like the one above. That normally happens elsewhere though normally on longer flights since everybody will be relieved to be off the plane. No offense, but my guess as to why it's a common practice in Russia is that Aeroflot isn't exactly famous for it's lack of airline crashes, so all passengers are normally happy to have survived the flight...
