I tried one of the modded campaigns (Attrition War) and after a wating of 4-5 years (game time, that's more than 30 missions) the campaign script made the first update (with RED stressed), the skin, but the second one (with BLUE stressed) didn't. Instead, it changed the skin to...IDFSilver1 :dunno:, which obvious is not in the aircraft "scenario" from this squadron...

Here's the paragraph:

Any idea why it failed to upgrade to the correct plane ?

Equipment upgrades are not necessarily automatic, they can be affected by the unit's supply level, and the overall force supply level, which is in turn affected by success rate of interdiction type missions against that force, destructions of hangars, fuel tanks etc etc.

No idea why it would give you the wrong skin instead though.

I take it you have checked that the requested skin is in your install?

...\WoI\Objects\Aircraft\Nesher is the place to look.

You mean there is a probability induced by the game engine to...miss that very upgrade (randomess)?Or you meant it could appear later eventually ?

Yes the skin is in place, nothing wrong there. I hope you understood correctly, I mean...the first UPGRADE(the skin ONLY), the game DID that, but when came to change the plane (to Nesher), it changed the Shahak to...that strange skin ...instead.

And about the first matter, I've searched and lots of people , in the past (but some AFTER 2008 oct patch) are complaining about the same thing. One said: "so I think this could be categorized as a ...campaign bug".

Did you encounter this situation I and the others did ? (to miss a scripted upgrade)

Thanks for the info.

I personally haven't seen that bug, but it's been a while since I played a full campaign in SF1 series. If others have seen it, that's probably your answer.

As for supply effects on upgrades, I'm just going by something TK said over at the TW forums. Upgrades are affected by supply issues in campaign play, but the details of precisely how that works are hazy.

What you are talking about sounds more like a bug.
