Yes, it works.

But for all who want to fly this mission: make sure you have changed from "fuel management" to "personal skin" in "Workshop".

I had started my flying, but half way over the channel my petrol was down to 41 % - the sim had used my last "fuel management"

setting for the start, which was a filling of 50 % or so.

I broke it off; then got visitors, and so I must start again Monday or Tuesday (I don't want to use warp, and it takes some time to get there).

I discovered that the 'OFF_Essential_MP_File_Installer.exe' that is MadMatt's Over Flanders Fields Essential Multiplayer File Autoinstaller for MP game play (found in the CombatAce 'Maps, Missions, and Campaigns' download section) will place all the necessary files for the Gotha as well as the Zeppelin in the proper directories. I was able to run the Olhams_Gotha_Escort_Mission first try. It is awesome!

Escorting the Gotha can be fun.... but wait until you fly it! It's a most stable bombing platform with a devastating bomb loadout. It's my axis craft of choice now that I have switched my preference from scouts to bombers. It's hard to miss with that wonderful bombsight!

OH YES! she flies wonderfully and higher than some allied scouts can go. You'll need to bring up some auxuliary gauges to fly with because the instrument panel was never finished. There's front and rear guns that you can man or let the AI handle them. The bomb loadout is larger than any other craft in the game.

 

I have a few multiplayer missions that should play well in single player. If you want them just PM me. I'm also building a "bomb Buckingham Palace mission" but it's not done yet. The placement of some nearby AA guns is proving to be a tricky endeavor.

Have flown the Escort Mission today, and came back alive. My wingmen were not so lucky. (See "Reports from the Front")

I will try this your mission again, to learn about different behaviour/tactics I might use.

It was hard without Labels and TAC, cause I couldn't mark specific targets for my wingmen;

but hey! - so thrilling realistic!
