Have to upgrade VidCard,some questions

I need to upgrade my PC's video card, the one's I can afford are DirectX8.0 .

Is there a way to upgrade a card to DX 9 ?

Also I am running FS2K4 , SFP1 and Simcity Rush Hour,what is the what is the minimum Vid card memory I should get?

 

I appreciate any help on this subject.

Afaik there is no way to upgrade a DX.8.0 card to DX9.

 

I would go for 128Mb.

Direct x is just a driver program/software, any graphics card can run on direct x 9 u just have to download the latest drivers for ur Graphics card that make it Direct x 9 compatible.

The Key is RUN WITH DirectX because they are suppose to be backwards compatible. However, the purpose of DirectX 9.0 is to take advantage of features that todays video cards offer, as well provide new code for videocard manufactures to design new features around.
