Olham Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Flying in the Midday Sun Patrol over Tellancourt Some time ago, I asked: which is your most beautiful airfield? I have found a new one today - Tellancourt. Lying on a plateau, embedded in gentle hills; the view over the landscape is just great! Quote
Stratos Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Thanks for sharing it. BTW nice skin, is oo similar to the one of your sig ;) Quote
Olham Posted October 6, 2010 Author Posted October 6, 2010 Thanks, Stratos - the skin is much like the other Jasta 21 skins; they are mostly clear varnished plywood fuselages with a green back and nose. Only Eduard Ritter von Schleich has the sides and undersides in sky blue. They carry a black & white band, and personal emblems in black & white. One of the few Jasta, that kept the "hunchback" on the D.V for some time. The Staffel works well together, and I enjoy the lovely terrain - especially in July 1917. Quote
RAF_Louvert Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 . A very nice locale Olham, but I think Habsheim flugplatz in the Alsace region is prettier, what with the mountains, river, and lake. However, to each their own. . Quote
Olham Posted October 7, 2010 Author Posted October 7, 2010 Yes, Habsheim is also very pretty! I have had a pilot there, and each time I saw the meandering river, I new I was home. Quote
