Being a Tiger fan, I grew up with him as their manager. He was one hell of a great guy and a legend, he will be missed.

Yep, came home from work to see that. It's sad. I remember the red Sox and Tigers when they played and he was managing. Baseball has lost a legend. RIP, Sparky.

I remember when he managed the reds in mid 70's. In fact I remember the 2 world series winnings when I was about 5 & 6. Back then when players had real skill. I met Reds catcher Johnny Bench when I was young few times too.
