Basic Modded Install for SF2

OK Folks,

Let me start off by saying that this thread is mainly for the newer pilots that just bought their game/games and are looking for a good starting point to begin getting the most out of SF2 mods and installs. I have spent the last 2 weeks installing and uninstalling all of the add-ons listed below in different sequences to see what works and what don't. The list below is a final draft sorta speak of everything I have installed in my games series..SF2,SF2V,SF2E,SF2I, SF2Exp1 &2. to date. In a nut shell "IT'S AN SF2 PILOT'S BASIC FOUNDATION." Thanks to all of the pilots that posted their input on my other thread. There's a wide variety of mods to choose from for sure. The knowledge that you guys possess about the SFseries and its mods can be well, down right "INSANE"....Anyway I wanted to post this so the new guys can have nice to direction to go from.

 

**Note all of the Mods listed in BOLD lettering make up the Basics needed to have a great game to play. ***

 

Mods: These give you a vast flyable aircraft list and some beautiful scenery for screen-shots

1. Vietnam Ground War Expansion Gold for SF2V

2. NATO Fighters 4+ for SF2E

3. HDR mods for SF2 in DX9 Mode ( HDR 1.01A and/or ATI HDR 1.03 ) helps with FPS.

4. CloudSkins3: Clouds For Days

5. Realistic Size Sun Mod by Hawg11

 

Terrain: This enhances the ground textures for the games scenery...

 

1. HR SF2E GermanyCE terrain update

2. Updated Default SF2 Terrain by Piecemeal V 1.2

3. Optimised Tiles for Updated Default SF2 Terrain

4. Enhanced SF2: Israel Terrain by CA_Stary

Weapons, Vehicles, Ships: Gives you great looking objects in the game...

**Special Note*** This is purely based on my opinion and having worked with these games and their add-ons for the last two weeks for a total of about 70+ hours of playing around with these files. Believe me when I tell you I'm Tired....

Duel Core Quad 2.8 Ghz process.

4 gigs of 1066 DDR2 ram

Do you mean you have merged all these mods into one giant install with no major issues?

Yup. These are what I have in my mod folder......with a few more aircraft....
