Clouds

I have SFP1 and WOV in my pc and I have tried to enhance the clouds in both environments with mods from combatace like cloudscape , cloudscape v3u, cloudMOD v-1, etc but they don't work...all I get is either a negaive image or no clouds and a square sun in the sky...since I'm new to mods I don't know if I'm doing something wrong...I followed the instructions on the readme files but to no avail...anyone out there can help?...also how can I get the nice sea textures from SFP1 over to WOV....I installed the Korean Mod on SFP1 and it's working ...I was blown away by the sea textures while WOV are skimpy...

If you're getting big squares instead of clouds then I suspect you're dealing with a corrupted file or even a missing file. I just downloaded Cloudscape v2, for instance and loaded it into WoE. Everything comes out okay. Maybe try downloading again. Then be certain environmentsystem.ini is in the Flight folder along with, at least, a cloud image named cloud1.tga

Im betting he is using terrains that have their own environment system ini. If he were to copy the environment system ini in his flight folder and rename it "Whateverterrain" environmentsystem- meaning the exact same name as the file in his terrain folder- and then replace the offending terrain environment system ini with it, I think his problems will be solved

 

Remember to back up the terrain enviornment system ini before you replace it.... rename it .... just at a 2 to the beginning of its name and the game will automatically move the file up to the top of the folder so it will be easy to find it later if you need to change something.

Roger that Shrikehawk...I'll try that....I'll get back to u....also I installed the Korean War mod...everything works fine except the Instant Action mode...the aircraft that come up are the Vietnam era without textures ( all aircraft )...i.e. blank...checked the flight folder in the KW Mod exctracted files and there is no instant action file to replace/overwrite the default SF1 ...any help here?....
