Just found this forum contribution about a German Pilot Uniform.

It is said to be the uniform of Unteroffizier Hans Kleinschred, Royal Bavarian Jagdstaffel 23.

There was also, on page 3, this military passport from Michael Huetterer (17. Nov. 1891 - 21. Jul. 1964);

he flew with the above pilot in Jasta 23b.

As the first poster said in that uniform thread, "There are times when "WOW" is the only thing I can think of to say!" Wouldn't you love to have that set on display in your flying room Olham! What a beauty. Also, thank you for the translation on the passport; very helpful. And thanks DonL for your link as well. Can't imagine digging into the ground and finding such a cache of items, grizzly as some of them may be.

That is a strangely touching find - thanks for posting, DonL.

After all those years, there is still even some camo painting on some helmets.

Grizzly indeed!

Grizzly, did I miss something? Was it a war grave, I thought it was just a dump that someone discovered.
