What films U would like to see made

I do somewhat enjoy the movie, although it's not a good movie. Every now and then I come across a bad movie that I like even while knowing it's bad. Catch-22 has genuinely funny scenes, but it's not at all a good adaption of the novel.

 

The novel of course is one of the great American classics. One of the few books that makes me laugh out loud when I read it.

I'd like to see a summer-popcorn-extravaganza about the Sino-Japanese fighting (1937-1940) in which the Boeing P-26, and the Polikarpov I-16 met the Japanese A5M in air combat. Baring that, I'd like to see a Spanish Civil War-era fictional piece in which German/Italian aircraft of the late 30's meet fleets of Soviet Avimatkas.

I have zero--ZERO--faith that any of those movies you guys wish to be made would be worth a damn. "Less Hollywood, more facts." Nope, not gonna happen. That's asking Hollywood to be less of itself. But, as far as a wish list, I guess that'd be at the top, eh?

 

I've not seen every war movie because I have little interest in any movies, but the only one I've seen that has been halfway decent was Tora Tora Tora.

Indeed - it came almost like a well made documentary of the day, when the Jaspanese Navy went out "waking the Tiger".

Tora Tora Tora actually means Tiger Tiger Tiger.

 

Also, TTT (1970) was made just a year after MGM's Battle of Britain 1969. TTT also bombed at the Box office.

From an ancient (1982) copy of AIR Enthusiast magazine. (British) I've been carrying it, and a few other copies, around for years. Always lots of interesting esoteric stuff.
