All these videos were made by HAFU, the film team of "The Vintage Aviator" -

and behind all that I guess stands Peter Jackson. Enjoy to see some great

and very rare aircraft in flight.

Halberstadt D.IV in flight

Airco DH.2 in flight

Albatros D.Va & Pfalz D.IIIa in flight

Airco DH.5 in flight

Sopwith Triplane in flight

Great stuff Olham! Considering the effort that went into making these, it's too bad they didn't offer up some hi-res versions of the video although I am enjoying them very much.

The one important thing he needed would be a good story.

No one wants to see that "Von Richthofen vs Roy Brown" crapp with nurses anymore.

The "Blue Max" works so well, because it has such a story line.

What does he have to do with Hergé? Is he doing a "Tintin" story???

I wonder if they're hiring mechanincs at 'The Vintage Aviator'. I can bring my own tools, although I don't know how I'll get 'em past customs when I board Air New Zealand.

I guess, that OvS would be there too, if he didn't have a family in NY.

No need to bring tools. Check the pics of the Albatros build . those guys have everything there.

Olham, my friend, you are a gift to the community. Your consistent finds of great historical websites, photographs, and in this case, fantastic video, is one of the things that keeps me checking the OFF forums daily. To see a DH2 in flight is amazing - I need to go to New Zealand. And I need to go to Germany! Something I hope to do in the coming few years. If I get my shot at hopping the pond, I'll have to look you up and have a pint with you. Thanks again for your contributions.

Captain, it's members like you who make it all worth while.

A pint with me would be difficult though - I only drink "virtual Warsteiner", since I have given up

everything with alcohol. I just liked it too much, you know?

Thanks Olham. I understand. In that case I'll buy you a frothy cream soda! grin.gif

Yes, there is going to be at least one Tintin film, possibly more. Jackson is producing them.
