Default SF2 desert terrain sams?

Hello,

 

Just wondering if there is any SAMs in default SF2 desert terrain. Flew way to 80's and not saw any, just AA guns. Is there way how to activate them without use of any "total conversion" alternate desert terrains? Is there any mod to add just SAMs into stock desert so i can play original campaing? Thanks for help.

There are some - not that many - most around the capital from what I remember.

 

One thing to check is whether any of the stock SAMs actually have service dates to the year you are playing in.

 

Adding more SAMs might be a data.ini edit - unless the campaign customiser can help.

stock game only give you SA2 and SA6 (SA8 iirc, may be tasked as Mobile_AAA) -- do you have any other SAMs (and their radars) in the /GroundObjects folder (3, 5,7,10,11, etc)

So, grab the necessary add-on SAMs (and radars), dump them in the /GO folder and they should show up

 

Otherwise, it's editing the desert targets and types inis -- they have to be added TO the terrain itself

Thanks for heads up and ideas. Maybe i didnt fly around any capital. Yes i have all stock. I will try some addon sams. I remeber pasko sam pak from SF1 times.

 

I think i saw MigBuster on BMS forum, good boy :). New version will have some cool new stuff and fixes. Stay tuned ;)
