Suddenly, in all the flash and snazzle of the air combat, an F5U zipped by. I don't see HIS as being my cup of tea, but was wondering if any of you have come across this plane in any other flight sim... and if so, how did it fly?

Well.. some ideas are simply better off left on paper... Like this psycho... sorry for the 'tanget line' on this subject, but you get the idea... extremes are always dangerous to play with. OvS

+streakeagle Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 If they had ever gotten it up in the air, it might have turned out to be an awesome fighter. But jets came along and obsoleted all prop fighters.

+Monty CZ Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Hello all actualy I was interested in this concept some time ago and I think that the idea was not bad, but they didnt have technologies we have now, so the plane was difficult to fly. What if we build similar plane today? with computers, FBW, turboprop engine. I think that it would be simplier than MV-22 (Osprey, tilt rotor) but stil have stol capabilities it wouldnt be fighter of course but good for CAS missions you can see here what I tried in strike fighters: http://combatace.com/topic/62719-since-there-is-no-what-if-forum-for-sf2/ Monty CZ
