I made a 1985 Israel camp. based on Lebanon war, but added 2 US carriers. Put USN and USMC units in DATA.INI in front of Israeli units, renumbered etc. Added carriers, target areas etc. I've done this before in other maps, it works fine.

 

Here's what I don't understand: No USN or USMC units show up in the campaign map UNLESS I select them to fly. Then that unit is there on the carrier where it is supposed to be. But no other US units are around, anywhere.

 

Is there something different about the Israel map compared to Dhimar/Paran?

Don't think so. Where would that be? Squadrons were copied+pasted from another campaign (with #s changed, of course) where they worked fine. All #s in the .INI and DATA.INI match up, I've checked all the usual suspects, I think.

 

Would the fact that the Israeli squadrons have an ordinance list and my US sqds do not?

check limited nations statemens

I had changed that to FALSE, didn't help. I'll have to take another look around when i get home to my machine...

Ok, I think it's an issue with putting carriers or carrier stations on the map, in the TARGETS.INI or something. If I place a unit at a ground base, it will show up...

PS: The limited nations thing is not an issue as it is the same in CEurope terrain, and I have successfully added USMC units to those stock campaigns

Fixed!!! The carrier stations were just a little too close to the shore, I guess. Moved them a couple of miles west, and now it works!

Have you posted the working campaign for down load yet or is it the one posted above. If so,I can't choose th F-14 to fly.
