On Screen Text

Hi community,

 

It's probably been asked before, but is there any way to get rid of the on screen text messages, such as when AWACS are advising you?

 

This is the only thing that is killing my immersion in the sim. Thanks for all the awesome addons too.

Go to the sub-titles option in the Sounds section of the Options interface.

Did that, but the messages are still appearing it seems. Just so we are on the same page, I am referring to the messages that display automatically on a strip in the middle of the bottom of the screen.

extracct the MessageSystem.ini from the /FlightData.cat, place in /Flight folder

iirc, the 2 lines I marked with the arrows. set the sizes to 0

 

if that don't work, it's an easy re-edit, and try something else
