OT: "Studying French Under Fire", classic illustration art from WWI

I ran across a wonderful E.C. Stoner illustration that originally graced the cover of 'The Literary Digest' magazine on 20 October, 1917. After a little clean-up work on my part I thought I'd share it here with you folks.

 

 

 

 

I've posted the full-sized image here in case anyone might want to use it for desktop wallpaper.
