shredward Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 is gone. What a huge loss. That was a tremendous archive and source of material :mega_shok: Quote
Hasse Wind Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Damn! I wonder what happened? The message at the site doesn't explain much. Quote
RAF_Louvert Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 . A hugh loss indeed. I'll be sad if all that info is really gone for good. . Quote
Olham Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 (edited) What a short, uninformative note for the end of such a wonderfully made website??? What a sad end for something, that had already become an "institution" for the many interested in WW1 aviation... I really hope it will be continued by someone who cares. Hasse Wind Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 This is the problem with digital sources of history. They can disappear just like that, in the blink of an eye. A better explanation than simply "persönlichen Gründen" would be appreciated. Maybe I should start saving the pages of my favourite WW1 websites! Quote
Olham Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Yes, I guess you should. Can one save a website itself (I am very stone age at that stuff)? Quote
Olham Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Yes, I guess I will. First day at school was - well, tiring. They gave me a rig with some stuff on, and a training book for HTML. Then I had to work my own way into HTML scripts - I got to page 24. Now I don't know, if that was good - or bad. I was the only scholar for Web Design there right now. Quote
