The Sopwith Triplane photos on "The Vintage Aviator" website 'inspired' me to fake an old WW1 aerial photo,

as if an observer had made a photo of the "Black Maria" over Flanders.

I didn't want to use the original New Zealand landscape, and so I knocked it out.

I also removed the silly two-yard-long white scarf (I wished they would drop that!), gave the pilot some more

face protection, added a French farmlandscape, and this is what I got.

I know it could be made far bigger and better, but I wanted a quick result. Enjoy!

Thank you all!

I have made some improvements and uploaded the new picture.

Mainly I have removed some of the structure of the background as far as I could.

I'm glad that some of you like it - the Tripe is a great aircraft.
