Has anyone ever found a way to make sidewinders show up on the radar like in Ace combat?

No. IRMs are passive weapons for the time period covered by the TW sims.

real time missile tracking, that would be pretty cool. It would be nice for beginners and especially me, my wingmen don't tell me crap about where the missiles are coming from

In the timeframe which are subject of WoX there was no technical warning for IR missiles possible. Even today, only the launch of a missile can be detected, but not the missile itself.

The only warning you get is the warning shout of the wingman. If you hear the warning shout, then release flare and change the course.
