F-4C (67) always has fuel tank on centerline, even when gunpod mounted

Recommended Posts

Flying the F-4C (67) in some of the SF2 desert missions. The centerline fuel tank is always there, even when SUU gunpod is mounted. So you have a centerline fuel tank that fires! Installation is clean, no mods at all, and patched to Nov. 2011. Ordinary F-4C doesn't have this problem, just the (67). Looked at loadout and data inis for both these aircraft and found no difference in attachments etc. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks.

If you don't like the centerline fuel tank eliminate it from the DATA, and or loadout. Thats where I would start.

simpler test would be the answer to this question:

do you have a data and loadout ini INSIDE the _67 folder, from an eariler date? If so, rename them. if the centerline tank disapears, yo need the "latest" data and loadout ini extracted from whichever cat they're hiding in.

several changes had been effected over the last year or so in how the 'built in' fuel tank mesh was handled

Solved it! :biggrin:

Here's what happened.

In the data.ini file for the F-4C (67) -- as extracted

under "fuselage" numbers were not right

SystemName[001]=Engine1

SystemName[002]=Engine2

SystemName[003]=FuselageFuelCell2

SystemName[004]=FuselageFuelCell3

SystemName[005]=FuselageFuelCell4

SystemName[006]=FuselageFuelCell5

SystemName[007]=FuselageFuelCell6

SystemName[008]=CenterlineStation

SystemName[009]=SparrowStation1

SystemName[010]=SparrowStation2

SystemName[011]=SparrowStation3

SystemName[012]=SparrowStation4

SystemName[014]=TopFuselageLight

SystemName[015]=BottomFuselageLight1

SystemName[016]=BottomFuselageLight2

SystemName[017]=CenterlineStationWet

SystemName[018]=SparrowStationECM

Should read:

SystemName[001]=Engine1

SystemName[002]=Engine2

SystemName[003]=FuselageFuelCell2

SystemName[004]=FuselageFuelCell3

SystemName[005]=FuselageFuelCell4

SystemName[006]=FuselageFuelCell5

SystemName[007]=FuselageFuelCell6

SystemName[008]=CenterlineStation

SystemName[009]=SparrowStation1

SystemName[010]=SparrowStation2

SystemName[011]=SparrowStation3

SystemName[012]=SparrowStation4

SystemName[013]=TopFuselageLight

SystemName[014]=BottomFuselageLight1

SystemName[015]=BottomFuselageLight2

SystemName[016]=CenterlineStationWet

SystemName[017]=SparrowStationECM
