Aircraft Upgraded In Campaign

I'm flying Luftwaffe campaign presently (all merged, stock jun12) and they upgraded my F-4F to an F-4F(80).

 

Which is nice, because the extra ECM gear is handy.

 

It occurs to me that in a real war setting replacement aircraft for the Germans wouldn't be their special variation of Phantom but would come from USAF stocks, so they'd get F-4E's instead.

 

That got me wondering what it'd take to have the upgrade schedule go to an F-4E(78) instead and then have SEA camo with German markings.

Possibly not. The replacement aircraft could come from a Luftwaffe maintenance unit, perhaps previously damaged and now repaired.

You need edit campaing_data.ini for this. Just change upgrade type in desired squadron to USAF F4
