MAKO69 Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Not sure if this was posted already, just wondering how the new digital version is doing, as I remember they have tried to make these computerized for years with no luck. http://www.stripes.com/news/navy/old-school-ouija-board-being-phased-out-on-navy-carriers-1.151711 Quote
KJakker Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 I could have sworn I saw a documentary where it was ask why this system is not computerized and the Navy's reply was if it is not broken don't fix it. I hope they at least keep the old system as a backup for the computerized system just like they do with the sextant. Quote
+ST0RM Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Interestingly, the E-board still had shapes for the S-3 Viking. But a second look showed the date as being 2006. Quote
+Erik Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 What until it BSOD or CTDT on them while in battle, yeah that's going to get fun. Quote
