30yrs ago today Operation Urgent Fury was conducted on the tiny Caribbean island of Grenada.

 

Rangers from 1st and 2nd Ranger Battalion's conducted a low-altitude airborne assault on Point Salines Airport while the Marines conducted helicopter and amphibious landings on the northern end of the island.
