Fish40 Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Has anyone tried the SweetFx tool with YAP3? I can't seem to get it to work. I've read posts from folks who successfully installed it in the SF2 series, but it seems that the folders needed are not in SF1. They mention a "MOD" Flight, and "MOD" Menu folder. I do have a Flight and Menu folder in YAP3, but not "MOD". Is anyone able to help? Thanks. Quote
Wrench Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 same thing sf2 just puts them in a different place. Just remove "mod folder" from your mind, and use the "regular" folder names Quote
Fish40 Posted January 6, 2014 Author Posted January 6, 2014 Thanks Wrench. I tried according to the folks that installed in SF2: Put SweetFx files in Main directory (where game exe. is), Flight folder, and Menu folder. All seemed OK until I hit Esc. to exit a mission, and the game CTD. I think the guys that did YAP altered a bunch of files, so it's not really a stock SF1 WOV game. Disabling SweetFx fixed it again. MigBuster Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 What patch does WOV need for YAP3 - 2008? - could be shader related There is an enbseries HDR mod i used to use with WOV / YAP that did similar things to sweet fx and boosted fps. Quote
Fish40 Posted January 6, 2014 Author Posted January 6, 2014 (edited) Thanks MigBuster for the reply. I know about ENB, in fact I used it in other games until I heard about SweetFx. I'm using v.1.3 (1.5 is the latest I think), and the GUI is much easier than ENB. I'll try going right to the source , and contact the YAP guys and see what they say. Thanks again. "Edit": Almost forgot, yes YAP uses the 2008 patch. Edited January 6, 2014 by Fish40 Quote
