Star Trek TV reboot is coming, and fans could not be happier. Rumors are running, claiming that two companies have pitched Star Trek series ideas to television networks for the fall of 2015 or early 2016. While nothing has been confirmed or denied, it appears that CBS might be the network airing the Star Trek reboot.

Star Trek TV reboot is set for this fall or late winter, and it might be on CBS, according to sources. The original Star Trek series also called The Original Series debuted in 1966 and ran for three seasons on NBC before being cancelled in 1969. It starred William Shatner in the role of Captain Kirk, Leonard Nimoy as Mr. Spock and DeForest Kelley as Leonard McCoy.

It appears that X-Men producer, Bryan Singer has teamed up with Rob Burnett, the executive producer of Late Show with David Letterman and the president and CEO of Worldwide Pants, along with writersChristopher McQuarrie and Geoffrey Thorne for a Star Trek TV reboot currently entitled Star Trek: Federation.

The new Star Trek: Federation is set in a new era beyond the Deep Space Nine and Voyager crews. The TV spin-off has been inspired by the popular fan-made Star Trek: Axanar as guideline for the project. Burnett has been actively tweeting about the project:
