Hello

This are my first attempts to modify the game for some personalised fun. I tried to mimic the existing mods and most of the editing went well but I met two problems.

1. Is it possible to have vertical speed on HUD? And how can I find a full list of parameters that can be displayed on HUD? The avionics60/70.dll seems to be in the file that cannot be extracted.

2. I tried to add ships as stationery objects on terrains. This works only for the stock cargo ship. All others ships, either stock combat ship or cargo ship MOD, does not appear, although I can add them in missions. How can I solve this problem.

Best regards

To answer part of your first question, you can use a hex-editor to open any dll files, and use the search feature of that editor to search through the various parameters. There are several good free hex-editors out there, just keep in mind that most files in this series (SF2) are in Unicode format. Also, remember not to save any changes you may have accidentally made, or you will have hosed that dll.

you have to have the ship listed in the terrains *_types.ini, then place as any other ground object in the *_targets.ini
