Cockpit instrument lighting

Recommended Posts

Obviously we all know the cockpit lighting in SF2 is very bleak, is there a way for 3D modelers to create realistic lighting like what YEYEYE did for his M2000 pit?

you can make them turn on earlier, by editing the cockpit ini. in fact, TK has be using "our" fix for several years...

ModelName=A-7E_pit.LOD

Offset=0.0,-0.08,0.00
Position=0.0,4.7,0.70
ViewAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0
MaxYaw=150
MinYaw=-150
MaxPitch=90
MinPitchFront=-42
MinPitchRear=-30
LightRange=1.5
LightInnerConeAngle=43
LightOuterConeAngle=60
LightAngles=0.0,-35.0,0.0
DiffuseLightFactor=0.5
NightLightOn=0.50
NightLightColor=0.5,0.2,0.3

the color is also easily changed, if one knows what the RGB value of the color is, and then converts to (iirc) hex

otherwise, one would need access to the MAX files for the cockpit and adjust via (i think this is right -- somebody correct me if not) self-illuminating meshes (or tga??)
