charlielima Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Splendid work. Sorry if I sound butt hurt for not having a proper EF-10 yet. V/R CL 4
Spinners Posted May 15, 2016 Author Posted May 15, 2016 (edited) I've enjoyed reading about this aircraft here are a few highlights; Designed to a challenging 1945 specification for radar-guided interception at night or in bad weather with a speed over 500mph and at 40,000ft and 125 miles from it's home carrier. Despite it's uninspiring bulk it was lighter and smaller than the Air Force's contemporary F-89 Scorpion and was seriously studied as an alternative. With four drop tanks it had a sortie time of seven hours! On Nov 3rd, 1952 and F3D-2 of VMF(N)-513 won the first ever night jet v. jet combat downing a Yak-15 over Korea. +76.IAP-Blackbird Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Impressive plane! Is it the one from A-team`s site? The Glass needs a little upgrade, its a bit milky, but nothing wild.
