+daddyairplanes Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 I know I asked a long time ago, but cant find my old question. What value do I change to edit when the afterburners kick in? I have edited the J57s to smoke with water injection via "afterburner", I would like it to kick in at 95 or 98 percent however rather than 90%. TIA for your input
KJakker Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 I think what you want are these entries under the engine section of the aircraft's data INI file. IdleThrottle=0.10 <------------- IdleRPM=0.66 IdleNozzle=0.90 CruiseThrottle=0.37 <--------- CruiseRPM=0.82 CruiseNozzle=0.25 MilThrottle=0.65 <--------------- MilRPM=1.00 MilNozzle=0.25 MaxThrottle=0.78 <------------- MaxRPM=1.00 MaxNozzle=0.25 FullABThrottle=1.12 <---------- FullABRPM=1.00 FullABNozzle=0.90
Bodcap8 Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 (edited) The difference between MaxThrottle and FullABThrottle controls the percentage of throttle that kicks-in the afterburner. In KJakker's posted example of 0.78 and 1.12, the afterburner will ignite at 69% of throttle. Changing the 0.78 (MaxThrottle) or the 1.12 (FullABThrottle) will change the percentage of throttle that ignites the AB. Edited August 21, 2018 by Bodcap8
+daddyairplanes Posted August 21, 2018 Author Posted August 21, 2018 thank you gents. upping maxthrottle to .03 below FullABthrottle set it to kick in at 98%. 2
Bodcap8 Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 Nice work, daddyairplanes ! It looks just like the old video clips of 52's belching smoke as they lifted off.
