Just a quick question if you please... What is exactly the role of an soviet datalink pod in the game ? Is it some kind of a laser pod (in which case why was it not named laser pod?) or is it anything else, and if so, how does it work ? Thank you.

to be honest, datalink pods really don't do a thing (iirc) in either SF1 or SF2. They're just "eye candy"
