Member Album file limits?

I'm slightly confused about potential album file limits.  When creating and adding to my personal Gallery Album I see that there is a 100 file limit per album.

However, I have also noticed that several member's albums contain more than 100 files. 

I'm hoping someone can clarify.

Albums may have more than 100 images. When uploading / adding images to an album the maximum you can add at one time is 100. Hope that helps.
