Operation Red Torch:

June 1953. Following the death of Stalin....

....The Royal New Zealand Airforce equipped with British Fighters as part of the Commonwealth Desert Airfoce stationed in the Middle East, is assigned to take part in the defense of NATO and the Western Allies.

Nice!  You are so creative! Those nasty Russians are trying gain another foothold!  Perhaps the French might want to get involved as in the Suez incident and provide Ouragans and  Mysteres.
