In answer to a previous question here about a working visual RWR, I found two work arounds. Maybe these RWR work arounds can be added to this pack in the future? 1. MiG-23: There is a working STARY MiG-23 visual RWR cockpit that shows directions In the newest Desert Storm download. 2. For ground attack Mig23BN/ Mig27 cockpits I added a working RWR by installing the two advanced SU- 17 cockpits (one with a tv screen one without). This is not to knock anyone’s efforts here. I appreciate all the long hours spent on these MiG 23 aircraft by everyone. (EDIT: I added a screenie of the SU-17 cockpit doubling as the MiG-23BN/MiG-27 with working visual RWR)
  1. So sorry to hear. I hope it is not too bad. Get better!
  2. "The Great Ordway" 's (ha ha ha) password did not work. I emailed Erik and everyone else at Combatace I could. No response from anyone. I started a new account out of desperation and bingo I was banned. If you Wrench could have Erik contact me to close my new "ordway1" account and let me reopen my old "ordway" account I would appreciate it.
  3. I think because of technical problems with my Combatace account I can't publish the SU-34. I finished my parts of the SU-34 last year.
  4. Actually, my Ordway1 Combatace PM is not working.
  5. So Fareed! Great job! PM me the cockpit.
  6. I got banned
  7. If you want to know what happened to my old user name "Ordway". - I blame COVID for not being able to log in while having COVID and being feverish and in a blaze of hysteria making a new account (having two accounts by accident and getting correctly banned) LOL.
  8. I have a "legitimate" SU-34. It has an external model (not made by "INSKY" but made by Fareed) a nice new flight model and a working cockpit I made all working in the SFP2 series. Fareed did not want me to release his beautiful external model until he finished his beautiful cockpit. There is a thread with pics on Combatace. I can send you my "legal" finished complete flying SU-34 by PM. If you want an accurate external model to go with it (not my modified SU-27 external model, you need to contact Fareed. It's a big deal to Fareed (and me) that people don't publish Fareed's models until Fareed gives his permission.
  9. Here are pics of Farids beautiful new original SU-34 3D model (with a FLAT nose, ha, ha, ha). along with some of his skins with his permission.. .(this model is new and is not the former 3D SU-34 model previously posted on Combatace which "shall not be named." We are collaborating on this project. I am doing .inis and he has done the 3D model. He is working on a beautiful 3D cockpit. He needs to finish it before release . I have my finished stand-in SU-34. I have not decided to release my stand-in for now because it has an incorrect nose shape. Cheers!
  10. Thanks Gepard and EricJ. My modelling skills are not good enough to make the nose flat by myself. Farid sent me a model I might be able to use. Thank you Farid!
  11. The legendary SU-34 fighter bomber! This is a SFP2 Thirdwire Sukhoi SU-34 Fullback Platypus Duck WIP (stand-in) candidate. I got tired of seeing the empty SU-34 slot at Combatace :). It is basically finished unless someone has a 3d-model I can use. It is based it on the Marcfighters SU-27. I used the fake pilot method to add the hump, canards, much longer tailcone stinger and co-pilot. The cockpit is based on the B-1 bomber cockpit by Alvaroideal. The fake pilot method means the camouflage scheme and additions are a bit limited but if it looks like a duck, swims like a duck and quacks like a duck then it must be a duck! The data.ini has been modified to represent the Duck. It has a bigger signature among many other electronic and flight model tweaks and is a magnet for enemy fighters. In reality the SU-34 is a much heavier and larger aircraft than the SU-27. Its cockpit is slathered in heavy armor. It flies heaviier as well. The SU-34 eliminated the airbrake on top according to every source I could find. The real Duck includes a resemblance of a toilet, resemblance of a kitchen and a resemblance of bunk space for sleeping. Although it can do effective air combat, this is not its primary role. Imagine dogfighting in a bomber! The Su-34 is seven tons heavier at empty weight and larger compared to the standard SU-27. That's going to have an effect during air combat. The SU-34 Fullback Platypus, Duck cockpit
  12. I was a bit confused by the instrutions in this thread. I had similar problems after some Windows updates and fixed it by renaming the options.ini to to OptionsBAK.ini and then restarted the game. Now It worked normally and it remembered my joysttick changes. So to do it go to Users, "C:\Users\whatever your name is\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 (or whatever Mod folder you have such as SF2NA). open the folder. find the Options.ini. Rename it to OptionsBAK.ini. Save the OptionsBak.ini restart your Strikefighters game. Now you can save joystick settings.
  13. Merry Christmas! Thanks for all you do for this website and the community!
  14. Nice! You are so creative! Those nasty Russians are trying gain another foothold! Perhaps the French might want to get involved as in the Suez incident and provide Ouragans and Mysteres. I’ve always liked the French comic books Tanguy et Laverdure about the French Ouragans, Mysteres and Mirage llls in action in French Africa.
