Nation specific ground objects

Recommended Posts

Using a plane's nation value as an offset for the word TMOD in the EXE allows EAWPRO to use 3 nation specific ground object sets without further modifications to the EXE. Each set uses the default hit bubbles and work has begun to create new 3D models.

Online the selection is set by the host's nation to prevent discrepancies during our missions. I'll keep you updated on the new models but it will take time to create them so don't expect any releases anytime soon, it's just a hobby!

      View File SuspensionBridgeFix
It fixes the 2 missing cables in the stock EAW model TMOD12_H/TMOD13_H.3DZ. The .ZIP contains ALL files relating to the bridge and in most EAW versions it suffices to extract the ZIP directly into your game folder where EAW.EXE resides. Beware if these TMOD slots contain a different object/model as it will be overwritten when present!

Greetings everyone. I've returned back to Strike Fighters 2 after having decided to purchase a Hotas, so I can fly in this game properly, however it seems the Hotas I've purchased is not that great. And by that I mean the software used is kind of ... crap. I've purchased the Thrustmaster t16000m, pretty solid Hotas, but the TARGET software is just terrible. I didn't know that, otherwise I could have avoided purchasing this device, but now I have it and I cannot return it back unfortunately.

By navigating the config file included in this site, I've found the TARGET profile for T.16000M joystick and TWCS Throttle to use with SF2 series 1.0, so I've said "cool, a config is ready to be used for my Hotas", but what seemed to be an easy solution it became a very frustrating experience, and I am not sure if the script that is broken or instead is TARGET (which I suspect it is, considering the amount of complains on internet). When I plug both my Hotas and TWCS on the USB, everything works smoothly, both the USB ports are set not to be disabled for power management purposes, but when I start TARGET and loading the above mentioned script, after a while I've got the device disconnected. Also it seems to be a very random issue, because sometimes the Hotas disconnects, or sometimes the TWCS disconnects, or sometimes even both disconnects.

Here is the error from TARGET:
Physical USB HID devices managed by script! Currently plugged USB HID devices[2]: 1: "T.16000M Joystick" - "USB\VID_044F&PID_B10A&REV_0500" 2: "TWCS Throttle" - "USB\VID_044F&PID_B687&REV_0110" Installing filter driver to VID_044F&PID_B10A. Aborting script! Aborting script (check output above for reason)... Script stopped! Have you ever had any issue with TARGET? A similar situation as the above one? I've read that is better to use an alternative to TARGET, such as Joystick Gremlin for instance, but I am not able to find any Strike Fighter 2 profile for that specific software so I am not sure how to make it works.
Somebody can help me with this issue? Thanks

Here's a quick mock-up of 3 different rock models using the same skin in a desert environment. These models were not additionally resized but instead a sloping hilly terrain was used and the models were grouped so close together so multiples look like a single rock formation, each model isn't larger then a default forrest 3DZ. Ofcourse one could use different drawings on each model too and it could probably mimic the cliffs of Dover with an appropriate drawing and a special coastal tile for it or perhaps reefs or mountain ridges. Plenty of ideas here but a lot of work,

What can experienced users tell me about EAW 3DZ modelling, RS and tools?
I'm not trying to build anything specific and I don't have a whole lot of time to learn, But highlights would be favorable.
Like I know for EAWv1.2 there are specific programs used. I think I have them all. Unfortunately some are DOS , some are WindowsOS usage.
I know you plan out the model before you begin using the 3DZ Studio program (which one is best?)
How would I keep the RS in check as I add to the model?
      etc..

Thank you in advanced for the help and tips.
