  1. Problem uploading pics

    CLEAR ATTACHMENTS
  2. Membership Drive 2014

Our subscriptions are at an all time low. This month we've received 11 monthly subscriptions netting us about $67.00 dollars, combined with our GoogleAds we have been working in a net monthly deficit. In January when I posted this we raised $837.00 dollars, not huge, but it has kept us running with our ad income until this month. I don't mind donating my time here, I actually enjoy it. However, the bills are another story. We need your support, continued and short term. Thank you in advance. Please Subscribe or Donate
  3. Creepy Middle Eastern music

It's the very hollow sound of the Arabian or Egyptian flute. Gives you a longing feeling, been around since time began. Try these.
  4. No there's no trick, the mobile interface is bad. It's slated for upgrade to something in line with 2014 technology in the near future. The software release for our site is going into beta in the next week or so. So pending a few point upgrades to snuff the major bugs we'll be making that migration when it's ready for consumption.
  5. is cloud starage a viable option?

Personal clouds are the way to go or a mass storage device on the network. Companies charging for online cloud services are expensive. I looked into it about 12 months and 4 months ago for the site and it would more than double our monthly expenses. Disk space is the commodity that is expensive in cloud infrastructures.
  6. Going to need to google how to get lemonade out of my laptop now. You won't learn how to at a younger age. There are no step by step instructions. You have to dig in and get your hands dirty. These guys are modding a game developed by someone else. The best you're going to find is the knowledge base. We aren't trying to be rude, but you have to learn sometime. That's the enjoyment part of it, so you're missing the whole point of what they do. If you want to pay someone to mod the game to your liking then you should ask for just that.
  7. Have you tried using the "search" feature? I just ran a simple search for LGB using both our search engine and googles and the results were prolific. You'd probably be able to find something more specific with an advanced search. I really don't think you're reading or digging through the material here. You can't use an LGB without having a laser pod loaded for targeting, and you can't display the targeting if you don't have a display loaded. So just because you have a weapon available doesn't mean you can use it.
  8. These guys have gone over and beyond the call of duty here. They don't get paid for this and your questions seem limitless. At some point you're going to have to start digging through the research material. I'm closing this thread so they can have a break. Thank you all who have contributed.
  9. That's good to know would have never thought of that but it makes sense. Should be an easy way to go between the two. You know those sex deprived developers didn't just forget about it. A quick search of the google interweb shows me this, "To turn on private browsing touch the URL field to bring up the keyboard and touch Private (above the letter Q) at the upper left of the keyboard." Good luck!
  10. That has to be a browser side setting. We don't determine if a cookie is saved, we just send it. It seems to be working on my iPad but I don't have a mini. Staying logged in also works on my Android phone. Have another look at your settings and let me know, I'd have to dig into Safari probably. Glad my fix worked. Test post from Android based mobile.
  11. Try it now and let me know. I created a mapping for it but can't guarantee the fix. We do have plans to update our software when it's available which has a major updates to how they support mobile devices and tablets. As well as push our skins to keep our standard look just in a smaller scale to make it fully functional.
  12. Just A Dumb Question

It's a site cookie, nothing to be alarmed at. Once you log in it keeps you logged in until you log out or the cookie expires. We do this because some people may have a slow internet connection and some files can take hours or half a day for them. If the site logged you out it would cause problems. I also think the remember me tick mark on log in only remembers your log in name, the browser itself would remember the password depending on your browser settings.
  13. Macdonalds burgers unfit for human consumption

The assumption there's fish in there is probably not correct, it's fish flavored.
  14. Have you seen this yet?

I had to substitute Hydrocodone for Valium last night. After just waking up I can tell you this works miracles. God bless you!
  15. Just following this. Glenn owes me a buck.
  16. We had a database corruption problem today due to some hardware malfunctions. As a result we will be reverting to our backup copy of our database which occurred last night at 3 AM Central Time. If you made posts today, uploaded files or joined our community we ask you complete the sign up process again, upload the file again, or post again. Basically anything that happened from early this morning to current has been lost. We made all attempts to recover the information with no loss, but it unfortunately is not possible. Please check that your forum avatar and signature images are intact. Thank you for understanding and we apologize for the inconvenience.
  17. They would have burned in the fire. Lost a disk today, random no rhyme or reason. Proverbial crap happens. Don't forget to make back-ups!
  18. I just tested with the following versions of Firefox; 15.0.1, 23.0.1, 29.0.1 I had no problems with either of these versions. Check that flash is updated for your version of Firefox and your security settings allow general web browsing behavior, ie except cookies. reset to default if necessary. Let us know. Thanks.
  19. Hello Everyone; I'd like to take a few moments to announce some new opportunities and features here at CombatACE.com. Before I talk about the new features, it is important to outline some history and facts. Just a short year and half ago when MK2 decided to step up and provide for this community, our membership hovered around 3,000. Today it is nearing 30,000. In the early days of our community it was common for us to provide five to six hundred Gigabytes (GB) of data transfer each month. Currently, in line with our continuing growth in the community, our consumption demands have grown exponentially and are now measured not in GB but in Tera bytes (TB) (1TB = 1000GB) each month. We're pleased with the growth of the community and the popularity of all the available downloads and site wide features and assets. We would like to continue that forward momentum with an idea geared toward member support that will work seamlessly with the daily download limits currently in use. As I mentioned, CombatACE has been solely supported by a single benefactor, MK2, for over a year and half. Our monthly expenses average roughly 500.00 USD and in total over $11,000.00 USD have been invested toward the continuation of the community. That said, it should be no secret that the major expense here at CombatACE is the bandwidth and physical demand incurred by our download section. The download section itself is stocked with releases from the modding community and have a combined download count over 2.5 million transfers. With that in mind, please take a moment to sign our thank you thread for MK2 ::LINK TO POST:: In the past we provided ad space which in theory should have covered the expenses, but the reality is quite another picture. Internet advertisers, even for the biggest sites, like to barter away exposure instead of paying for it. There are some exceptions but they are far and few between. For this reason our ability to offset costs with revenue generated from ads simply hasn't happened. More recent and for the past few months I'm sure you've all seen ads on the site for American Express, CompUSA, Match.com, and more. Those ads were part of our link share program we tried out as a way to generate some revenue. The basic design of this program allows for advertisers like those mentioned above to pay for actual sales instead of ad space. Using our site as an example we cluttered up the user space with banners in the expectation members would find the content interesting enough to click through to the advertiser's site and buy whatever they were selling. During our attempt at generating revenue through link share we gave away over a hundred million unique impressions, had 9,329 click throughs to advertisers, but $0.00 in sales which generated $0.00 in revenue. We've since discontinued our advertising link share program. When we rolled out the daily download limits they met with some stern objections from our members. We knew then that as a temporary solution to limiting our exposure we'd need to come up with a plan to allow members the option to upgrade their individual accounts. Our new member subscriptions fill that need nicely in an affordable way to not only give you unlimited access to downloads but provide you with an opportunity to show support for your community. Subscription Plans offer: Unlimited access to downloads Larger storage limits for onsite images and files More flexible member benefits for posting and board access More profile features Member badges and identification identifying you as a proud contributor and supporter Today's new release of member subscription accounts won't affect our non-subscriber accounts. Everyone who has joined or will join our community starts with a free non-subscriber account, and those free accounts will retain the download limits. On top of this, we will now offer paid subscription accounts that will lift all the download restrictions. The new subscription accounts are easy to purchase and are handled through PayPal for secure, private, and convenient access. Member subscriptions are available in 1 month, 6 month, and 1 year plans. Designed to allow our members access to more site features, more storage, and more downloads it's a perfect fit for the CombatACE in you. Click the banner below to go to your subscription area and sign up for a plan today. Support the community that supports you! UNLOCK YOUR DOWNLOADS CLICK HERE
  20. The system would have caught you up but I nudged it. Not sure why you reset might have been due to software upgrades on our end, but either way it would have fixed itself. 90 more posts and it should upgrade you to Elite. Take care.
