Erik replied to usafphantom2's topic in Site Support / Bug Reports / Suggestions
Fixed. -
CombatACE is looking for some journalism staff that enjoy doing small write ups, reviews of products, and interviews with community members. Finding someone for the key roll of editor in chief is a critical component to our future. If you are interested in performing this very important role and have time on your hands I'd like to discuss a future with you. Please PM me directly and let's find a place to showcase your talents. All interested will be considered.

Coast-to-Coast: Follow the Arrows!
Erik replied to Hauksbee's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Yes and if you have good coordinates of the arrows you can look them up in google maps. It's good stuff. -
Yes Team, more than one person would be awesome and give the feeling of less pressure. Freelance is definitely great too. If you will all just drop me a PM so I can keep those interested sorted out we'll get together and discuss this so we can put something together. Thanks for the great support.

Cannot find a working download link for File/4955 Aviatik CII skins

That's interesting and screwy. The original file notification you sent me doesn't link to the appropriate file, takes you right back to the download landing page. However the link you shared is the correct file, or at least it appears to be and it matches the file I have on disk. So the file record is correct but the announcement is wonky. Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Moving to Site Bug Reports. -

Can you link me to the content you're looking at? It's possible it's an old file announcement about a file that no longer exists or was removed for whatever reason. The file number you posted points to another file on disk. Thanks. -
The ultimate goal is to develop a journalism staff so there's tons of opportunity. I'm asking that those interested send me a PM so I can keep track of everyone and make sure I invite all interested to future correspondence. I look forward to seeing this become reality. Thank you for your interest.

So Firefox does not trust Combatace.com

Glad I could offer some assistance to you young whipper snappers, ehhhhh??? What stones??? I saw the doctor. -
I used to get this a lot on my lappy when I ran intensive graphics games and I've got an AMD Radeon graphics card. When the system allocates more memory for the graphics or whatever it dumps windows explorer or some of the program in memory gets wiped out so it goes first to the c:\windows\system32\ directory to find explorer.exe to restart it but since the program resides in the 64 bit common directory it throws an error, mine resets after a couple of seconds and it's annoying but it wasn't bad. This fix simply puts the file in two places so either place it goes looking for it it will be there. Doesn't change anything about how windows runs, etc., This is a good fix just wish it didn't take me hours to find it months ago when I was looking for it and now it just just falls from the sky like rain. Good job finding it.

About the Downloads and Subscriptions
Erik replied to Dave's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Thank you kind sir .... I can't tell you how much of a relief it is to get some help with that stuff. It's very very very much appreciated. -
All I'm saying references aside is that if OJ and Zimmerman can get off I gotta have a pretty good shot at it (tried in the media or otherwise). I keep my Sig 40 handy to get me to my gun safe, the dogs can chew it all they want it's guaranteed to fire dog slobber or not. Sans a well choreographed breach the odds are in my favor from that point on.

Bring on the animal welfare people! I didn't give the dogs the nummy plastic bits and stainless to chew intentionally. I removed it once I saw it. I sat down with both dogs and we watched videos on YouTube and read articles online why chewing razor blades is bad for your health. The razor cartridge had an aloe strip which would have soothed any cuts proving I'm a responsible razor consumer. Getting to my dogs requires dodging multiple firearms (yes I'm a *PROUD* gun owning American) and if Zimmerman can get off, lets just say good luck. Good looking out though. Thanks!

About the Downloads and Subscriptions
Erik replied to Dave's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Donation and subscriptions are handled differently, both of which can be found by opening the drop down next to your name in all skins, see items #1 and #2 in above image. The subscription button should remain regardless, it's a hard link in the top menu and member drop down menu. What version and browser are you using? Any help on images would be greatly appreciated. I will get around to them at some point but it took three plus weeks to get the files back and there were multiple images per download file. So I'm not looking forward to that. Going forward this won't be a problem even in the worst case scenario of recovery, this was learning just how good my backups were the hard way. However in regards to images you have to be the file author (the person who uploaded the file) OR a Forum Moderator (like Hauksbee) and then it's just a simple process of editing the file (see image) following the upload form to remove old images and uploading new images. The file will not need to be uploaded. Then click submit and you're done for that file. See above for editing files that you uploaded or "authored" or if you're a forum moderator. I'm open to extended forum moderator status if you want to add images to other files that don't belong to you, contact me via PM if this applies. "Broken" files should all be cleared up now, as I believe was mentioned. Broken meant I hadn't associated a file to the download record. Yes files are done but as mentioned screenshots (as mentioned here are "big part of the download section") are not handled yet. -
Ding ding ding ... we have a winner folks. Nicely done! Here's the un-chewed version. I had fun, thanks. Maybe soon we'll have another victimmm..... errr I mean item.

So Firefox does not trust Combatace.com
Erik replied to Skyviper's topic in Site Support / Bug Reports / Suggestions
Fixed. Reinstalled the SSLCert and all is fine. Can no longer duplicate the problem. -
It could be depending on how you look at things or others look at you. Some of us have to use it multiple times per day and it's not gender specific. When you see a whole one (I have that image too) you'll laugh because it's so simple yet so complex. Where's Fates when you need him?

So Firefox does not trust Combatace.com
Erik replied to Skyviper's topic in Site Support / Bug Reports / Suggestions
I'm working on a resolve now. This report only applies to Firefox as it reports the certificate of authority is missing which it isn't. I'll let you know when more information is available. Thanks for the report. -
It could be "something" but it's more specific than that.
