  1. Yes, I would check your settings. There is no reason you can't be logged in on both machines, separately or at the same time.
  2. [fimg=left]http://combatace.com/uploads/sml_gallery_1_8_62805.jpg[/fimg] A Geneseo Air Show spectator from New Jersey caught this dramatic photo of a Fokker DR-1 tri-plane at the moment of impact into a cornfield near the Geneseo Airport Saturday. 4. Upload limit in PM

Fixed. Enjoy the new digs. Don't get me started on the other issues.
  5. Upload limit in PM

It's not how much you have stored in your attachment space. It's how much you can attach per post which is a hard setting you have no control over. Subscription members have no limit, Elite members like yourself have a 5MB file limit per post. So if you fell off of a subscription plan this would account for why it has changed. It is part of the perks of a subscription membership. The basis of all this has to do with how we manage disk space. It is nothing personal it's a factor of scaling. For example if all member types used their maximum amount of storage it equals some insane number 4.9TB. Based on averages per account type if all members used their average amount of allotted storage it equals less than our total disk space so we don't end up in a bad situation, aka disk limit reached. (Very very bad in conditions where MYSQL needs to write but can't so it causes the DB to become corrupt and fail possibly a fatal error) You have to plan for those types of conditions to do otherwise could cause bigger issues that would have you guys asking, "is this guy an idiot?" I'm open to suggestions but at the same time I have to consider the entire use not just the single use which granted is not a big deal. Is the file private or what's the usage? Maybe there's something else I can figure out for you. For example Modders have a private warehouse they can put files in the download section, that could be used to transfer large files, it's semi-private and you could remove the file after it's been moved. The download section as an example uses it's own disk space, that's why the limits are different there in case you were curious. Yes, it's a complicated mouse trap we've built but I'm proud of it cause it works pretty damn good. :) Let me know.
  6. I read this and then forgot to do it. I suck at concatenating, Dave usually does it. All fixed now.
  7. Too many unknowns to be absolutely certain of anything. We'd need a sample of the meteor which could give us density and composition. Then from there we can start making educated guesses based on known entry objects. It's the whole pound of feathers pound of lead scenario.
  8. I Must Confess....

You guys are just n00bs when it comes to data storage. Sort of humbling isn't it?
  9. I Must Confess....

You're absolutely right how can anyone argue with that logic. I've contacted A&E TV on your behalf for an upcoming episode of "Hoarders - Buried Alive". Help is on the way.
  10. I Must Confess....

Ehhhhh ... you get what you pay for when it comes to blank disc media. They make preservation quality media just for this purpose and it's worked quite well for me. The other clean option is to store the data in solid state form as flash drives are getting big enough and affordable enough now to accomplish this. You can back it up to a hdd like it is now and pull the drive and store it in a non static bag with some silicon for moisture. As long as the disc isn't spooling up all the time it should last forever. Is there a 100% foolproof and fail safe way to store no, but it's almost condom percentages.
  11. I Must Confess....

Say three hail Mary's then archive it all to DVD and all will be forgiven. Go in peace.
  12. Stresstest!

LMFAO - Oh my god that was great! Nice one.

  15. Triplane

Spectator Joe Osciak of Hammonton, N.J. caught the Fokker DR-1 tri-plane in midair as it crashed the Geneseo Airport.

  16. All fixed up for ya Sir. Thank you for your service to God and Queen. Cheers!
  17. Oh Yeah FYI the recent changes prevent subscription packages or donations from interfering with your Military Veteran status or perks. It's all fixed. :) The only thing I would request is if you were a Military Veteran in the past but your Primary Group (the one right under your picture/avatar) now says Choice Member, Prime Member, Premier Member, or Platinum Member that you please let me know so I can take a look at your account to make sure it reverts correctly when a subscription expires. Thanks all, hope you like the update.
  18. It is not recommended that you report that. They have a hard enough time with normal appendages. Just saying.
  19. I'm actually using your account as a crash test volunteer for exactly all the reasons you just mentioned. No panicking allowed. <-- civilian panic used for reference only. Should not be confused with enlisted panic -->

  21. Upgrades and Such to CombatACE

It's difficult for me to contain myself but that is exactly almost correct. We're sorry your expensive machines are offline. We have narrowed it down to a fitting (.40 cents) but we'll have it fixed shortly.
  22. Upgrades and Such to CombatACE

Just so you know. We've been experiencing some random downtime which has nothing to do with us. I've been reassured that the last instance was the last we should experience and everything is or has been repaired. Our downtime has been associated to a faulty CAT6 cable. I will continue to monitor this closely. Sorry for the inconvenience. top - 12:38:56 up 3 days, 19:44, 1 user, load average: 1.79, 1.61, 1.09 Tasks: 232 total, 2 running, 230 sleeping, 0 stopped, 0 zombie Cpu(s): 6.0%us, 0.7%sy, 0.0%ni, 92.6%id, 0.4%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.2%si, 0.0%st Mem: 10233432k total, 10108744k used, 124688k free, 510488k buffers Swap: 2104504k total, 8372k used, 2096132k free, 6181368k cached
  23. After the recent changes and upgrades CA wants to know how things are working for everyone. Above is a short one question survey please give us some feedback. If you feel there are things that need improvement please let us know. If it's broken or needs improvement we want to fix it. We would be grateful for any feedback you give. Thanks.
  24. Fixed. That was a typo instead of 500 KB max file size I had 50. Any image uploaded for profile background has to be smaller than 500 KB no dimensional restrictions just file size. Thanks great catch.
