  1. It's somewhat labor-intensive, but go thru the LOADOUT.ini for each Soviet/Eastern aircraft you have and check what the loadout says. Compare that to your weapondata.ini file. Change the LOADOUT.ini to match whats in the Weapondata or vice-versa. As an example: In my Su-27SK_LOADOUT.ini [AirToAir] Loadout[01].WeaponType=AA-11 Loadout[01].Quantity=1 Loadout[02].WeaponType=AA-11 Loadout[02].Quantity=1 Loadout[03].WeaponType=AA-11 Loadout[03].Quantity=1 Loadout[04].WeaponType=AA-11 Loadout[04].Quantity=1 Loadout[05].WeaponType=R-27R Loadout[05].Quantity=1 Loadout[06].WeaponType=R-27R Loadout[06].Quantity=1 Loadout[07].WeaponType=R-27R Loadout[07].Quantity=1 Loadout[08].WeaponType=R-27R Loadout[08].Quantity=1 Loadout[09].WeaponType=R-27R Loadout[09].Quantity=1 Loadout[10].WeaponType=R-27R Loadout[10].Quantity=1 Because my AA-11 is listed as AA-11 in the Weapondata it wasn't showing up when it was listed in the Loadout with its Russian R-73 designation, while the AA-10 (R-27R) was showing up because I had installed it as R-27R and the LOADOUT was reading properly. The LOADOUT.inis must match whats in the Weapondata.ini What I'd do if I were you is make a small table with the refence names from NATO and from Russia, then rename your weapons with only one type, or figure out which designator is being used in your LOADOUT.ini and swap it out with the one in your Weapondata.
  2. How are you celebrating tonight?

Drinking with family and friends! Remember a DD, everyone! (Can't recall the name of the champagne, actually, will check on that...) Happy New Years! EDIT: Champagne is G.H. Mumm
  3. Been itching for the next contest, DW! @ Crusader: Evidentally that source should check its sources, either that or it was in reference to the AIM-7F!
  4. How Southern are yew?

0% Dixie. Having lived in Central NY my entire life explains quite a bit.
  5. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

    Happy New Year!
  6. The Tomcat can track 24 targets at once and can engage 6 of the 24 simultaneously if it has 6 AIM-54's available to it (in TWS-A and TWS-M modes, the difference is that in -M (Manual) the RIO designates which targets are to be engaged). Since the F-15 got its APG-70/APG-63V1 radar it can also do multi-target engagement with the AMRAAM (doesn't work with the AIM-7) and I don't know the limits of how many targets it can engage/track. The -16, -18, -22 and -35 I have no idea about but I'm willing to bet they can too. As has been said, however, this capability hasn't been added to the TW games. EDIT: Apparently the APG-70 can track up to two targets at once for attack in a mode called "Dual Target Track" or DTT and can fire one AMRAAM at each of the two targets. Also has the TWS mode which tracks up to 10 targets. Don't know how many fired missiles that supports, however. REF: http://www.f-15estrikeeagle.com/navigation..._technology.htm
  7. Happy Birthday JSF_Aggie

    Happy Birthday!
  8. Happy Birthday To Fates and SayWhat

    Happy Birthday, guys!
  9. Jill Valentine is Dead

Oh no! She didn't get turned into a Jill Sandwich did she? O wait, I'll read the link... (also an RE fan since 1 on the PS)
  10. Merry Xmas you bastards!

    Merry Christmas all!
  11. Well, Snort flew the Tomcat slower than the MiG for the guns kill using the "Big Boys" (ie he deployed the flaps, and flew at <70kts to gun track the MiG from 6-o'clock) which really illustrates your second point "its how one uses it that makes the difference". It seems like our Red Eagle pilots had an easy enough time flying the -21 down at incredably low speeds and at high AOA, but then these were some of the best guys available to the USAF, USN (including "Heater" Heatley) and USMC. Different pilots in the same planes yielded different results, like the "treeing" of both the F-14 and -15. On topic: Downloading FM tweak, will have to check it out a bit later.
  12. Americas Migs

I got this one. Amazing read, but as C5 said, it ranges from highly interesting to dull, depending on the subject. The engagements are pretty amazing and it really illustrates just how good the MiGs were with good pilots in them...well, except the Flogger...but yeah, a great read.
  13. Santas new Sleigh

Great find, MiGBuster, I think you just made my week!
  14. India sinks Somali pirate ship

The one closest to the camera looks like an M-16 barrel attached to an M-1 Thompson frame. I have never seen anything like it before. I can't believe those things even shoot!
  15. So...I take it the Tomcat has gained sentience and in the chance that its pilot is doing p*ss-poor in a dogfight, will come alive and literally tear its opponent apart and eat it?
  16. 10 Silver Stars

    Out-friggin'-standing! S!
  17. Eh? The actual Kaisar HUD for the F-14A and B had aim cues, they appear as a little diamond in real life, just as seen in the above picture. Sidewinders use the same symbology as the gun (the gun-cross). If you lock the target, then select SW, you'll have the diamond and the cross on the same target. The HUD in my picture is the HUD that is included with the cockpit upgrade by The Trooper, so again, I have no idea why it's not showing up for you.
  18. Optimus Prime

Though I get the reference, that sounds pretty wierd/dumb to me too. Never before in my life have I heard of an 18-wheeler referred to as "Optimus Prime."
  19. If I had to guess, I'd say so. The thing is, you should still have the A/B HUD if you replaced the cockpit folder and avionics file.
  20. Yes, but it depends on the skill level or experience or whatever factor affects air-to-air skill. Sometimes my wingies fire at the AIM-9's Rmax or close to it (~10nm), other times they wait until after the merge. So I guess that's technically BVR(10nm), also with the all-aspect AIM-9M.
  21. You're definately getting closer, but out of a question are you running any other mods at the same time? The RWR and HUD still look different from the standard ones that come in that update.
  22. Uhhh, I have no idea what's going on there. You should have side panels next to the VDI, the color should be different, you shouldn't have the G or Alpha signs on the HUD... How did you install it? Unzip, drag and drop or...??? EDIT: Oh, and did you change avionics60.dll to avionics70.dll?
  23. Didn't you just post the exact same thing in the download thread?
  24. Well, that's GS's info. Of course, that could be for the CJ, but it was listed under J. I'm guessing then that the original J's were nearly the same as the F-15A, but again, I haven't been able to find much myself. Link: http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/japan/f-15j.htm
