  1. Only a bunch of Stone-age boxes, but enough of 'em give at least an impression of the Metropolis.

  3. The boys of 92 Squadron get amongst them -- Summer '41
  4. Spitfire VB by Cocas and Wrench -- thanks a lot for giving us diehard SF2 propheads something new to play with
  5. I occasionally fly for the RAF
  6. Another Emil, this time over the Kanal.
  7. Nothing special picture-wise, just some of Russo's Emils over Wrench's Euro WWII with a bit of SweetFX going on.
  8. Indeed -- a very talented modder. Thanks
  9. Hi Geary, as Blackbird said the idea is NOT to paint over the panel lines etc. on that particular layer but paint the new solid colour you want on a separate layer UNDERNEATH the panel line layer -- you should be able to change the layer order in the programme you're using so the panel layer is ABOVE the solid colour layer. You could then do a layer of weathering on top of the solid colour and panel lines if you wanted. Changing opacity of the layers can help here. Best of luck.
  10. Maybe Wrench means this? Looking great btw.
  11. +1 In fact... "American: P-51B, P-51D, P-38H, P-38J, P-47C, P-47D, RAF: Spitfire I-A, Spitfire IX-C, Spitfire XIV-E, Hurricane I, Typhoon IB, and Tempest V; Luftwaffe: Bf-109 E4, Bf-109 G6, Bf-109 K4, Bf-110 G2, Bf-110 C4, FW-190 A8, FW-190 D9, and Me-262 A1. Also, the game features the following non-flyable aircraft: B-17 F, B-17 G, B-24, B-26, Mosquito, Ju-88, He-111, Ju-87 Stuka, and Me-410." Sound familiar? I know we all have our favoutire, perhaps more exotic, aircraft and would like to see them in game, but the list above from EAW would enable us to broadly recreate 1940-1045 in Europe. And we have some of those aircraft up to SF2 standard already. Perhaps the great 3D, Skin, FM and INI guys we have could try and get this lot together, as was proposed way back when on the SimHQ board. Plus we will have Wrench's great reworked BN-series terrain to fly over Just my 2 cents.
  12. Many thanks for all your work on these -- much appreciated.

Like it! Thanks a lot to you and Gustav.
  14. *Puts on steel helmet and takes cover* The hood is definitely on and I'm winking -- of course, we don't know when Edward decided to go the Payware route...I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt and tell myself that it happened a week ago, rather than a month or so when the first teasers of these new terrains made it onto the forums with no clue that you'd have to pay for them. In spite of that, they're truly excellent terrains and probably worth paying for (as long as ugly tile seams are few and far between), though $15 is a bit steep in my opinion, given the price of the actual sims at the Thirdwire online store -- still, you pays your money (or not) and makes your choice... --Snipe
  15. File Name: New Korean Tile set based on Deuce's Enhanced WoV tiles File Submitter: Steve T File Submitted: 7 Jan 2006 File Updated: 18 Jan 2007 File Category: Tilesets This is not "Historically Correct" nor meant to be. It was made to add a bit more of a "Korean flavour" to the fine work of fng2k, Edward and the other community members who've contributed to the new Korean theatre. It is -- a sometimes extensive -- repaint of Deuce's "Enhanced" WoV tiles with the addition of new dirt airfield textures, plus custom specular lighting effects on the sea and river tiles. There are still a few misplaced tiles but I've not got the time (or knowledge) to sort these out. Thanks to Deuce http://www.sfmods.com/terrain.html and Thirdwire for making the original tiles. 16. Hi everyone: Here's a new tile set for Korea. This is not "Historically Correct" nor meant to be. It was made to add a bit more of a "Korean flavour" to the fine work of fng2k, Edward and the other community members who've contributed to the new Korean theatre. It is -- a sometimes extensive -- repaint of the stock WoV tiles with the addition of new dirt airfield textures, plus custom specular lighting effects on the sea and river tiles. There are still a few misplaced tiles but I've not got the time (or knowledge) to sort these out. Find it in the Terrain section downloads here. --Steve T
  17. Deuces: Thanks! it is indeed the dark side -- given the way day seems to dissolve into night very quickly when you're plugging away painting the tiles... Squid, the sea montains problem is something to do with the original map I think -- sorry can't help you any more than that. --Steve T

  19. Deuces, you're right! Won't make excuses -- I've removed the files from the download and will update the readme and re-post them if you're OK with that? --Steve T
  20. Hi Rob: Does it work prior to putting my terrain tiles in? If not, check your Korean install (probably best to erase and do it again) and also have you renamed your original Strike fighters folder to something other than "Strike Fighters" (e.g. call it SPF1 and update the shortcut location) -- AFAIK you need to do this to get other installs to work. Also, you might want to try copying the original "Desert.cat" file from your default SFP1 terrain folder into the Korean terrain folder nad renaming it "Korea.cat". If it does work prior to putting my new tiles in, then double-check that you are installing the tiles correctly (make sure you're not putting the "New Korean Tile-set folder" into your Korean Terrain folder -- you need to copy the files FROM the folder they unzip into). That's about all I can suggest -- Good luck Steve T
