  1. I can report the same issue as Redwolf with the sluggish mouse look response. It's a little like moving around in mud. I've also noticed my TrackIR tracking speed is slower. I can easily adjust that in the settings, but I thought I should let people know that Redwolf isn't the only one experiencing this problem, minor as it may be. My system is definitely not top of the line, with an i-5 3.5 G processor and a Nvidia 1050Ti card. No mods, other than PR's BT mod. My system is overclocked to 4.2 Gigs, but if I go back to stock I have trouble playing after mid 1917. Mouse and TrackIR settings unchanged from WOFF PE.
  2. Joystick conflict

Kludge upon kludge upon kludge upon klu....
  3. I'm not 100% sure myself. I don't think it controls tree density, as that is a separate setting. I believe it affects the number of buildings, aircraft, people, etc. displayed. I don't think it has anything to do with textures. Keep in mind that there may be a dozen or more airfields in your immediate vicinity that may be putting a drain on your system resources! RJW or RAF_Louvert probably know more about this than I do, though.
  4. Observation: Going Home logic loop

"Running" "Fleeing" "Gone Yellow" "Turned a Cropper"
  5. Objects, my man, objects! Try turning down airfield complexity in Workshop.
  6. Yamamoto...again.

  7. Good to hear, Redwolf! Now that you mention it, I vaguely recall hearing some similar comments from a long time ago about performance being better at higher graphics settings, perhaps because the game is optimized for those settings. At any rate, I hardly see anyone who plays WOFF using lower settings, so it's interesting to hear your experiences.
  8. Great video, Hellshade, although a Tripe vs. Halb battle hardly seems like a fair fight! Still, the AI's low-flying ability does seem to be much improved. Now, let's see you flying a Halb against a bunch of Tripes! Fair is fair, they say....
  9. Previously, I had remapped several keyboard commands that required you to press a three key combination, but I like this one the way it is, for realism. One hand for CTRL+G and SHIFT+G to lower and raise the mount, and two hands for CTRL+SHIFT+G to reload. As long as you are careful to hold CTRL+SHIFT with one hand and tap G with the other, you shouldn't accidentally toss any drums overboard. In fact, it might be cool to build in a random % chance that this happens anyway, because, you know, stuff happens! Great stuff!
  10. Cheers, Adger! I do not believe the in cloud effect has any effect on cloud popping, so it should just be a matter of preference. It might take a point or two off of frame rates, if any, but no more than that, and I haven't tested that, so take what I just said with a pinch of salt. BTW, how was that pint of Guinness?
  11. I'll look at VonS's and PR's texture mods in a bit to see if they changed the lower budgets (I think they did), or better yet, they will come along and tell you themselves!
  12. Originally posted on simhq: I can confirm that v. 2.02 of the Historical Weather mod is fully compatible with BHaH2! Activate the usual way, with JSGME. I have also looked at the OCM, and it also appears to be compatible, although a few features will not be fully implemented until JJJ's Mission Editor is made compatible with BHaH2. OBD also made a few minor changes to a few cloud files, but that does not appear to affect whether the mod works or not. Now that BHaH2 is out, I also plan to update the OCM in another of my continuing efforts to cut back on the annoying cloud popping and flashing. For this, I would like to benefit from your assistance. The next time you fly a campaign mission where you encounter significant cloud popping or flashing, whether you use the cloud mod or not, please reply to my Optional Cloud mod thread at simhq, briefly describe the problem, and then attach a copy of the OFFDynamicMissionWeather.xml file to your post. This will help me to identify the clouds which are contributing the most to this problem. Just make sure to copy the file before you fly the next mission, because the OFFDynamicMissionWeather file changes when you click the button to start your next mission. This will really help me to solve this nagging problem. Thanks to any and all who participate.
  13. If you look in the compositetexture and compositescenery files, you will note there are five "budgets" that correspond with the texture and scenery detail settings in Workshop. Without looking at the mods, I assume that they have only made adjustments for the highest setting, so that is why they may not work as well for the lower ones. Easily fixed, if enough people ask for it, although I assume most prefer the highest graphic detail possible. Might be worth considering for those of us using lower end computers, though.
  14. I sort of like this feature, although I haven't yet given it a go, yet. Can't you hold down CTRL and SHIFT and then tap G with the other finger?
  15. Thank you, Redwolf. Interesting findings. I also noticed in a couple of BHaH2 videos (I haven't installed BHaH2, yet), the reappearance of some blue triangles. Hopefully, either VonS's or PR's video mods will eliminate those as they did in WOFF UE and PE.
  16. Erik, I'm sure that Blade was unaware that this might be a problem. He is a good bloke. I didn't know it was wrong to do, either, but it does make sense, now that you mention it. Cheers!
  17. Morane-Saulnier N?

Anyone know any good 3d modelers out there? We have everything but the 3d model and damage boxes ready to go. (The original 3d model was lost in a hard drive crash)
  18. Nice video, Rick! The AI appears to be more aggressive and more reactive to the player's moves. It looks to be much harder to draw a bead on them. No more flying straight as you pepper them with bullets! The changing Lewis animation is cool, complete with sound effect! Nice! Anything else stand out for you?
  19. I like your thinking, Harry! Although tomorrow is Good Friday, so I doubt 2Checkout will be uploading anything then, no matter how hard we pray for it!
  20. Are we there yet... Are we there yet... Are we there yet... Are we there yet?
  21. 'tis Sunday, perhaps the last Sunday before BHaH2 is released, and I need another fix!! More specifically, I was wondering if we could get just a brief preview of the new music and score Matt has written for BHaH2. Pretty please? Just a few notes? The waiting is killing me!
  22. Welcome!

    C'est tres vrai, mon ami!
  23. New sound of engine backfire as you switch off! Lovely!
  24. Welcome!

So, I guess this is where all the cool guys hang out now?
