I was a sig in the Australian army in the Pacific theatre.Carted around a backpack set tat was out of comms as soon as we went over the first hill and stayed out for the full three days or so we were out.Bloody wireless! Nowadays a mobile phone would handle the entire comms for the platon.Ah well.

  13. Sorry Olham I have misled you.I was not a pilot. An eyesight defect kept me out of aircrew.The Australian Army at that time was only counting arms and legs.As I had just the right number of them I was in.And bloody soon wished I was out again.Cheers Olham, I always enjoy your posts.

I will preface this by saying I am 86 years old aiming for 87 this year.I use target cone,radar,HUD, padlocking and no gun jams and I have a ball staggering around the skies blasting everything I see.And especially I use pilot invincible.If it was available in the 1940's I would have used it then too.I am utterly shameless and love Off
