Falklands Sea Harriers (WiP-update 11-1-11)

Sorry, I can't see your pictures SUICIDAL... I was not trying to make individual skins for the planes. I was just trying to enhance the generic skinpacks that's already given in eburger68's Campaign. My problem isn't on historical research, but how I can place decals on certain places, such as the airbrake interior or the correct 801 NAS side codes placement, (not on the panel of the forward nozzle but above it). Thanks, anyway! -

I did replaced the numbers.lst of both 801 and 809 with that from 800 but still have no individual numbering... I also noticed that there are lots of excecive decals in the d folder of each Sqn. Do you want me to clean them up for you? -

I'll see what I have in my books, Massimo... I made the numbers of the 801 NAS as suggested in the numbers.LST... Although I followed the same structure as in 800 NAS I couldn't make them show seperately... All the planes are sharing the same number! Any ideas? I also corrected the double nose national marking for the 809 NAS. -

OK, guys thanks! I'll send the finished skins to eburger68, as soon as I get the decals stuff addressed first... I'm wondering is there a template available? The starboard side cocade looks terribly awfull... There must be a lot of streching involved there... -

I've noticed that both 801 and 809 Sqns in Campaign mode, haven't got randomized numbers and serials. Every plane of these Sqns, in Campaign, is numbered "23". In 800 Sqn, different numbers, are being used but, in Campaign mode the numbers are locked and dependant on the plane's position in flight. (For example player flies always No 92). Is it possible to have in Campaign, as well, all the available aircraft numbers selectable in skin loading, as in Single mission mode? I tweaked the Sea Harrier skin a little using some higher resolution parts of the original FRS.1 Harrier for SF1 skin. Also redone the AIM-9 rail that looked a bit ugly in pure white... -

SF2V Air & Ground Expansion Pack V.2.0 + Exp.Pack 2
elephant posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
OK, guys here is my problem... After installing Exp. Pack 2, (Dec. 2010b), somehow I lost all the gunsights in my SF2V Air & Ground Expansion Pack V.2.0 install. I had to reinstall everything back to have it work again. Allright so far. The problem is that the weather in Campaign mod is always heavy, no matter what... I have played two different Campaigns, may be more than 50 missions and the weather is always heavy overcast. Any ideas? -

My original weather figures were Inclement=10, Overcast=35, Broken=25, Scattered=20, Clear=10 I changed to Overcast=25 and Broken=35 and now I have always Broken clouds in my Campaign The problem remains after the latest patch to the Exp.2 applied and a new one emerged the "airstart no matter what"... -

Oh my God! I just have it installed and confirmed the new "airstart no matter what" bug + the "always heavy weather" bug in my SF2V Campaign seems to be there too... -

Original German Goggles at Ebay
elephant replied to Olham's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Looking them again, closely and I confirm they are soviet type of cyclist goggles... or Chinese copies as the second listing claims... -
So true...
-
Yes, I know about the helmet and your thoughts, Olham are logical and justified but, it has a different story actually... From 1940 and on, the Net helmet became the most popular one between LW crews not only as a lightweight summer or for tropical use item, as it was first intoduced, but in every front every season. In my example the leather earphone parts have wool fliece lining...(earphones made by Siemens). Back to our story, the helmet belonged to a pilot or crew member of a Ju-88 that was downed over river Mercey at Liverpool during a night Blitz bombing mission in 1941. The pilot or crew used his parachute and aparrently his kapok filled type life-jacket when he was dragged out of the river and stripped off his items by angry civilians. The helment and life jacked were found, forgotten, in an attic a few years ago when I bought the helmet at an e-bay auction...(I could not afford both).

No, thanks...I can order one via internet by myself, no problem. I've bought lately, RoF with the whole bunch of planes, OFF BH&H and will buy HiTR as soon as it arrives... With my recent financial stress this is already too much ...jobs are getting scarce here, for a freelance artist I am... I'll try to go with Freetrack first and we'll see... Thanks again! -

I have uploaded both MvR videos to my mediafire folder. They have (.flv) abrevation. I play them with vlc player which is free. The footage is well known and I think, also included in WWI in color and 4 Years of Thunder DVDs. Here you are: http://www.mediafire.com/?gqutwwd0h33iad1 -

This is a Great site! I had it bookmarked some time ago... When I was searching for WWI flight uniforms and equipment. A pity that you can't magnify the pics enough, though...
