  1. support the idea of a lancer, textures are ready since years: cheers Sokol
  2. Hi, how far did you come ? initial mapping including panel lines ? (at least the main lines, rudders etc., i do not have time for this very consuming initial work). if so, i would like to help you :-) you can drop me a line "sinzov at gmail.com" some of my works for reference - a MiG-23 of the soviet PVO, and a MiG-31 should have very similar colours: : cheers sinzov
  3. Hi, love to see that beauty. the vigilante was one of the most elegant planes ever. one note: isn't the cockpit much too large (and the pilot too deep inside) ? thx waiting for download Sokol
  4. please, can someone tell his "best practice" - we get patches, and we like what we see - and we prolly spend hours on reinstalling our loved mods and add-ons. i always save a clean copy of SF:P1 and WOV, updated to the latest patch, copy it again and try to reapply the mods which are still in my "old" install. how do i know which files / mods may be overwritten without harming the patch ? how do you handle this problem ? thx Sokol
  5. Hi, one question: could you try to use the textures from lomac ? (i am not quite sure if you need some permission, but this has been done before for a Su-27 for FS9). this would give us a wider range of available textures right from the start. and they look just fine. cheers sokol
  6. Hi, i am working myself into the terrain editor and could need some help. is there a tutorial around ? or a special forum ? could not find any. thx Sokol
  7. Thx guys, this was helpful. still, i have 2 problems: 1) when i load my xyz.hfd file the terrain is totally confused. not a single tile is at the place it should be (actually i am updating the existing desert terrain, so all should work fine. and yes - it showed all right in the game, all necessary files seem to be present). if i save this confused tiles, my terrain is of course a mess. why ? 2) i "built" new buildings to populate a mountain region. the buildings / boxes appear all right, but neither my new ones nor the old ones are textured. again: why ? has this something to do with the definition of the bmp-texture in the texturelist.ini ? i did add the name of the texture in the according description, but maybe some other parameters have to be set ? detail ? thx for any hint Sokol
  8. Hi, Mattski, it is a great skin you did, and many thx for the tutorial. how about the idea: uploading the template you made and offering it to the community ? you did a really hard work, and the credit must be yours, so everone who uses this template should give you the credit, but why reinvent the wheel a second or third time ? :-) cheers Sokol
