  1. I don't understand how you moved the meshes up and down, Crusader. Could you explain exactly how you did that? Sorry for my lack of knowledge, but that's how I learn.
  2. Hurricane Harvey

Thoughts to everyone on the Gulf coast. Can't even imagine what storm surge plus twenty inches of rain will do.
  3. Mig-15Bis Cockpit

  4. If you watched 5th Element ...

Incredible voice. And one of my favorite movies.
  5. Why would Squadron level decals appear only at random in a modded campaign? The Squadron list is correct; the decals appear in single missions if I choose them, so everything as far as squadronlist and numbering of decals seems in order. When I fly a campaign, squadron level decals of course appear on my unit's aircraft, and sometimes appear on friendly AI aircraft (not always, it's random), but never on enemy AI aircraft. I'm not familiar with campaigns, and I couldn't find anything about this doing Google searches, or in the Knowledge Base here, so I have to ask: is this a game thing, or do I have to hunt down some sort of glitch in my files?
  6. This is on a modded install. I'll take a look in my un-modded installs to see if it happens there, but I'm not too familiar with the more modern squadron markings, so I'll have to extract them so I can see what they are.
  7. Thanks, Menrva. Just needed to know if someone else was seeing it. Now I know it's a game thing. I'm only patched to July 2012. Refuse to go any further in patches than that, so it's definitely in July 2012. It's not a game killer for me; usually I'm too busy shooting to notice. Still the best sim out there for people who like to tinker with their sims, like me. I have fun, despite the glitches. I can always make all fighter aircraft squadrons flyable, and leave the bomber units alone. It involves some work, but it might trick the sim into putting them on the fighters. I'll play around with it, when I have time, and see if it works. Thanks, everyone, for your responses.
  8. If a mission in the campaign is being flown by a friendly squadron which is in the player flyable list, that squadron will have squadron markings on them. If a mission is assigned to a friendly squadron that is not on the player flyable list, then it will not have squadron markings on them. No enemy squadrons have squadron markings on them, whether they are on the player flyable list, or not. I hope this is a little clearer than my last post. Sorry.
  9. Figured one thing out by flying missions in the campaign. All the AI aircraft that have markings are other player flyable squadrons on the same side as the player. So, apparently the game is marking AI aircraft on the players side if they're in the player flyable list in the main ini, but not if the AI is opposing forces. And it doesn't generate squadron markings for any aircraft not on the player flyable list. Interesting.
  10. John McCain

I wish you a speedy recovery, Senator McCain. Your service to our country has been constant, throughout your life. We need you, Sir. Now, more than ever. Get well, soon.
  11. Battle over the internet

Added a few choice words of my own. One person tells two people, two tell four, etc., and there are many elections coming up. Vote against this, party whores, or we vote against you. You cause me pain, I'll cause you political pain. I have a BIG MOUTH! ps. I also tweeted the Orange One directly. Light up his screen. He might even listen.
  12. Having returned to fiddling with this sim after quite some time, your tool kit makes the little things I do so much easier, Mue. Thank you for all the work you put into them. When it comes to decaling, altering airfields, or removing parts of planes from view, the tools remove hours of hit and miss guess work. Great work.
  13. This tool is tremendous. Thank you for this, Mue.
  14. Just a few more BoB and I'll leave everyone alone
  15. Approaching perfection, thanks to Mue, Wrench, and many others, but Mue and Wrench got me this:
  16. Slowly rebuilding another of my favorite mods...
  17. Meanwhile, in North Korea

When the video ends, there's another video of Fatboy Slim pretending to fly an airplane. He studied the manual for two minutes and was able to perform the dreaded 30 degree bank, the most dangerous maneuver ever attempted. To quote the video, "OMG!"
  18. It is sooo ugly/pretty. And a superb model.
  19. Oh, geez. Forgot to get a Bucc. Thanks, MigBuster!
  20. I've been rebuilding my sim as well. For me, SF2 is the best for the way I like to flight sim. And, I agree, the Korean War mod for this sim is fantastic. Lately, I've been flying in and tinkering with SF2 Exp2, mostly because of Rends' Germany terrain, but also because I've found myself drawn to flying the British versions of the F4, and I've developed a very strange fetish for flying the Mirage IIIc. The planesets you can achieve with mods and with DLC, especially mods, are absolutely amazing, as long as you're, like me, not an "I need to push every button" type of flight simmer. SF2 simply hits the sweet spot for me, and this modding community blew the lid off this sim.
  21. Hammer 12. Do you read me? Over. Hammer 12. What is your position? Over.
  22. I know this is a stupid question, but does windows recognize your joystick? It obviously recognizes your keyboard, but does it see your joystick?
  23. Memorial Day 2017

I have to work the entire weekend, but I'm going to see Dad and Mom, where they're laid to rest. Both were vets. I ignore the party weekend, and keep the spirit in my heart.
  24. Learn your callsign

    Teflon MadDog. Kinda like it.
